Vivelle dot - Inspire. I was on the Vivelle Dot for years before beginning pellets in August. My doc started me out on the dose that you're on. I thought that little box of patches were heaven sent.. I used that dose for a couple of months and felt a lot better than with nothing at all. I still had tummy bloat (gas not water weight), my calves were still swelling but not as bad as before, and several other symptoms were milder. You asked: can you cut in half climara patch? After a couple of months on that dose, my hands started swelling and throbbing like a toothache. I started reading everything I could find about swelling, hand pain, and the Vivelle Dot.. My symptoms worsened with each cut and I soon felt like I was back to NO estrogen at all. Long story short, doc increased my dose by prescribing a . I felt some better but within a couple of weeks, same thing with the hand pain. Doc took up to the highest dose . When they started to return after a couple of weeks, I added 1/4 of another patch in addition to a whole patch. Tummy bloat went away, hands stopped hurting, legs stopped swelling, muscles relaxed.. I felt the best I had in a very long time. However, I am a bather rather than a shower person. I finally learned that changing my patches every other day offered more consistency. Also, I wore mine on my lower tummy.. I wore them on my backside.. Also, if a patch gets a wrinkle.. I have never worn one that didn't develop a wrinkle even if I placed it on the flattest part of my tummy that I could find. After years of using the V- Dot in the manner I described and sometimes increasing the extra piece up to half of another patch.. April of this year. Also, I'm self pay and the price of mine increased by almost $1. I was getting 1. 6 per month rather than 8 to allow me to add extra pieces and change them more frequently. I tried increasing my dose, decreasing it.. FULL patches.. and I could NOT find a happy place. That's when I decided to try to the pellets. I'm on my second set of inserts and having worse luck with them. My estrogen level got up to 2. I THINK I might have figured out what is going on with the pellets but can't say for sure. I'm also getting testosterone pellets. I've tried compounded T cream a few times over the years and didn't seem to get any results with it and gave up on it.. I think my doc is giving me too my T and not enough E. He had me have them tested 3 X during my first set of pellets and although my levels came back with very different numbers each time, he told me they looked good and I SHOULD be feeling good. IF I decide to get a 3rd st of pellets, I'll have my levels tested right before I go back. If I don't get a 3rd round, I guess I'll try find a happy place with the patch again. I KNOW it's doing something or it wouldn't be helping the way I feel while I'm having to use it to supplement with. I LIKED the patch but learned that I was one of those people that had to tweak my dose from time to time. I learned to recognize when I needed more and less of the patch. I'm lost with these pellets! I'm having symptoms with them of both low and high estrogen. Or, at least the symptoms that I learned to recognize as high or low with the patch. I feel that it HAS to be the testosterone that is messing with me. I hope you feel better. Is your mood change your ONLY symptom? Are you using estrogen only? Or, are you required to us progesterone, too? I don't have a uterus and am very happy about that because Progesterone does NOT agree with me at all!
